Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) Courses
What is involved? |

All learner motorcycle and moped riders must satisfactorily complete a CBT course before riding on the road (phone for advice and exemptions). The CBT can be done on either an automatic moped or manual motorcycle. When you arrive for your CBT we will check your licence (photocard & paper counterpart) and your eyesight to make sure you can read a car numberplate from 20.5 metres, so make sure you bring your glasses if necessary. The CBT is a completely practical course and there is no written test. |

| Element B | On Site Training |
|
|
| Element C | On Site Riding (In this element you start to ride your motorcycle) |
| You will practice until you can: | |

| Element D | On Road Training - This consists of an informal chat with your instuctor |

| Element E | On Road Riding |
|
| When you have satisfactorily completed the course you will be given the CBT Certificate (DL196) This validates the provisional entitlement on your licence |
